Hatha yoga focuses on slower paced, controlled movements and stretches while maintaining proper breathing techniques. Aiming to balance both the body and the mind, improving mobility and flexibility.
Restorative yoga offers restful poses using props such as blankets and blocks. This aims to offer a relaxing experience that helps calm the mind, especially during times of stress.
Chair yoga utilises a seated position or chair for balance. The aim is to offer a more accessible form of yoga, with the poses promoting strength and flexibility in the body and mind with simple moves that can be done anywhere daily.
This form of yoga is a practice that involves movement, breathing and relaxation that can help manage the side effects of cancer and cancer treatments, such as fatigue, anxiety and joint stiffness amongst other symptoms. Improve your range of motion, strength and energy levels and work with managing any anxiety you may be experiencing. Classes are every Monday 11.15am-12.15pm at The Studio SE6 and every Thursday 6-7pm at St Laurence Centre, Bromley Road. Contact me directly to book. No previous experience of yoga needed.
